V-ROX is an open festival of culture, a creative laboratory of ideas ranging from street art, music, gastronomy and sports to blockchain, crowd-funding platforms and new music streaming services. It takes place in Vladivostok since 2013, the main curator of the festival is Ilya Lagutenko – Mumiy Troll band frontman, one of the most influential musicians in Russia.
The audience of the festival – active young people, students from different countries (Vladivostok has one of the main Russian universities – FEFU, with an international student audience), tourists from Asia-Pacific countries, the Far Eastern region, Russian cities, young musicians and artists, designers, Vladivostok citizens. The general audience of V-ROX is more than 100,000 people annually. Entrance to the festival is free for all. V-ROX events can be watched online: www.youtube.com/vroxonline
In the context of the coronavirus pandemic the organizing committee of the V-ROX festival decided to postpone 2020 festival to May, 2021. We are worried about the health of our audience and participants, and look forward to meet with all of you in Vladivostok 2021. We want to believe that all festival and concert activities will return soon.
In 2021 we plan to return to the format of an open-air stage. The motto of the V-ROX festival is “Open Art!” – and as usual all concerts, exhibitions, parties and master classes will be free.
Ilya Lagutenko: “While the live concert industry around the world is in a “coma”, we invite you to the virtual V-ROX. May be if music is not a life-saving vaccine, but I hope it’ll be great to meet virtual with V-ROX graduates from all over the world and support each other with a kind word and a good song”.
