The organizing committee of the V-ROX festival has begun to prepare for the V-ROX-2021: it will be heldMay 2021 in Vladivostok. We are pleased to introduce our new partner from India – Hornbill Music Festival, which is held in the Indian state of Nagaland.
It takes place annually in different cities, at 15 venues and gathers more than 100 thousand spectators. As a part of this partnership, a Russian music band selected by the V-ROX organizing committee may participate in the festival in December, 2020 – if the global epidemiological situation allows. And the musicians, artists and chefs from India will come to V-ROX in 2021.
Mr. Theja Meru, Advisor for Music &Arts, Government of Nagaland: “It gives me great pleasure to acknowledge V-Rox as our official Hornbill Music festival partner. Artists from Nagaland has had the wonderful privilege of performing at the V-Rox twice now, and every time they have come away with the best of experiences. The warmth of the festival and the friendly and hospitable nature of the people of Vladivostok is simply out of this world. Nagaland is proud to be associated with V-Rox and Russia and we hope that through this friendship and partnership a better appreciation of each other’s culture, music and art will be achieved and artists given a world stage”.
In 2019 V-ROX already hosted the cultural and creative community from Nagaland: DJ INA, chef Salangyanger Jamir, who cooked Indian classic cuisine during several evenings at “Jimmy!
